DUO KLASIK – povezava dveh IBC cistern

Upgrade options:

• Rubber seal 2x (GRATIS): Zgolj rezerva. Originalno penasto tesnilo se sčasoma potlači. Če so na ventilu nepravilnosti, se lahko tako tesnilo poškoduje. V tem primeru ga nadomestite z gumijastim tesnilom. Ne uporabljajte dveh tesnil hkrati, ker ni potrebe.
• Duo PLUS (Garden hose connection with valve): this upgrade adds a valve with a garden hose connection to the existing connection. It is usually very practical to always have the garden hose connected and the main tap for quick overflow to the sprinkler.
• SkyTap (Tap raised to sprinkler height): this upgrade raises the position of the main tap on the connection to the height of the sprinkler (approx. 35 cm from the floor).

The basic package includes:

2x reducir AVA za cisterne z ventilom fi 55-62mm, grobi navoj S60x6 (DN50)., T-kos F, 2x koleno F, 2x alkaten cev* 47-48cm, pipa.

*Alkaten tubes are slightly curved because they are stored on reels. We use LESS alkatene hoses, which are more flexible and much easier to use - you straighten them when installing and they stay in that position.

The connectors are green, as shown in the picture. The gap between the tanks after installation of the DUO system is between 2 and 6 cm.

The system is available in 1″ size (32mm pipe outer diameter) unless otherwise marked.

If you are going to discharge water into one tank, the other tank must be vented to allow the water to flow smoothly through the valves.

There are several ways to do this:

1. If you don’t mind the water flowing out through the opening of the lid of the second tank when it fills to the top, you can simply loosen the lid slightly—just enough to allow air to pass through. Once both tanks are completely full, the excess water (overflow) will drain out here.
2. A vented lid works in a similar way – air passes through, but water also flows out once the tanks are filled to the top.
3. You can use a PipeLink lid (as shown in the animation) or an AutoVent lid – recommended.
4. Use a lid with an outlet and fix a suitable fitting to it (e.g. a T-piece for PE pipe, garden hose, flexible hose, PVC pipe…).
5. If there is a larger height difference between the downpipe outlet and the top of the tank, you can use a FlowTek Bend bulkhead (use a lid with an outlet or drill a hole in the tank). Connect a garden hose to this outlet. Fix the other end of the hose above the height where water enters the tank (e.g. at the downpipe branch). This way, water will not overflow even when the tanks are completely full, while the tank can still “breathe”.

Warning:
Tanks look the same at first glance, but they differ from each other. The biggest difference is in the valves. The standard and most common outside diameter of the valve is 60mm. In practice, it can vary and is between 55 in 62mm.
All S60 reducers in our range are designed to fit all coarse threads on 60mm diameter valves (S60x6). Due to slight differences in the "standard" valve threads, the feel of the reducer may vary when installed. It may fit perfectly, it may go a little loose or a little tighter. When it is screwed all the way in, it is tight and fixed. All reducers are of proven quality.

Tip:
Before installation, make sure that the cheek of the tank valve (where the reducer is to be installed) is smooth and undamaged. New tanks have an aluminium seal on the valve opening - if this is loosely removed, it can cause the reducer to leak less tightly. Any imperfections on the valve should be removed or sanded with sandpaper before the first installation of the pressure reducer.

Reducers AVAused in DUO KLASIK systems are extremely durable and UV-resistant.
