Cookies
1. Legal basis
The basis for this notice is the amended Electronic Communications Act (Official Gazette No 109/2012; hereafter ZEKom-1), which entered into force at the beginning of 2013. It introduced new rules on the use of cookies and similar technologies to store or access information stored on a user's computer or mobile device. The new legislation does not prohibit the use of cookies, but it does prescribe under what conditions and how cookies and similar technologies can be used. Our use of cookies also complies with the European GDPR.
2. What are cookies?
Cookies are small text files that most websites (in addition to websites, including emails, online services, advertising and interactive applications) upload to users' devices (computer, mobile device, etc.) when they visit a particular website, usually containing:
the name of the server from which the cookie was sent;
the lifetime of the cookie;
value - usually a randomly generated unique number.
Each time you visit the website again, it will retrieve the cookie you have placed and identify your device.
The cookie itself does not contain or collect personally identifiable information, but if users provide this information to the website themselves, for example by registering, it may be linked to the information stored in the cookie. If the server reads the cookie together with the web browser, this may help the website to provide a more user-friendly service. Only the server that sent the cookie can read and use the cookie.
Types of cookies:
Temporary or session cookies "live" from the moment the user opens the browser until the moment the user ends the session and closes the browser. They are used by websites to store temporary information, for example items in a shopping cart, to make online banking more secure, etc. Because such cookies are stored for a shorter period of time, they can be less invasive to a user's privacy.
Persistent cookies remain stored even after the user closes the browser and ends the session. They are used by websites, for example, to store information about registration, page language settings, etc., as well as to build user profiles and analyse traffic. Persistent cookies can remain on your computer for days, months or even years.
First party cookies are from the website that the user is viewing and can be permanent or temporary. Websites use these cookies to store information that will be used again the next time the user visits the site.
Other cookies (3rd party cookies) come from other, partner websites (which, for example, serve ads on the original website or measure traffic). Third parties may collect user data in this way from different websites and use it for different purposes: from advertising, analytics, to improving their products. Such cookies represent a greater intrusion on user privacy.
3. Why are cookies necessary? Cookies are important for the operation of websites and are fundamental to providing user-friendly online services that improve the user experience. The most common e-commerce functions would not be possible without cookies.
4. Why do websites use cookies? Websites work optimally when cookies are enabled. Most websites use cookies for a variety of purposes:
- adjust the display of content to visitors based on past visits, to improve the user experience of the website;
- to store choices when shortlisting and comparing devices and offers;
- keep users logged in on the parts of the website where login is required;
- to recognise the user's device (computer, tablet, mobile device), allowing the content to be tailored to the user's device;
- to collect various statistics about the habits of web users - as these are the only way to monitor how often they visit a particular website;
- to monitor traffic, which allows us to detect and correct errors, check the effectiveness of content display and the relevance of advertisements, and continuously improve our websites;
- they are necessary for certain services to work (e.g. online banking, online shops and other forms of e-commerce...).

5. What cookies does the website use?
At this page you can check which cookies are used by the www website.ibcparts.eu and requests from third parties for various widgets/plug-ins (cookie name/our/other apps' cookies/cookie expiry date).

6. Disabling cookies
The storage of cookies is under the full control of the browser used by the user - which can restrict or disable the storage of cookies if it wishes. The user always has the option to accept or reject cookies.
Most web browsers automatically accept cookies!
If the user wishes to refuse the use of cookies, they can change their browser's default setting so that the computer refuses cookies or receives a warning before a cookie is stored.
You should be aware that if you refuse the use of cookies, you may still be able to visit our websites, but some features may not work properly.
Instructions on how to delete or refuse cookies, and further information on cookies in general, are also available at  www.youronlinechoices.eu.
