The valves on IBC tanks are large, plastic and sensitive. Temperature differences, UV rays, dry air, dirt and other factors mean that the valve is usually the first thing to stop working on a tank.
Interesting fact: We tested the durability of the valves on the new tanks. We exposed them to direct sunlight, cold, rain, in short, to all weather conditions. After four years, half of the valves had leaked, corroded or otherwise been damaged. Others worked without a problem.
In any case, we recommend that you:
- protect the valve from sunlight,
- filter the water in the tank at least a little,
- don't open the valve more than necessary - we have a huge selection of tap+reducer kits that fit on this valve - then you can regulate the water with this kit -pipo.
Our valves are only intended for use with water for garden watering purposes.
